Public Figure’s Blog (Again)
A colleague in my office commented this morning, “Dian Sastro’s blog is getting high traffic. Her website was reported down, hit by so many requests.” Seemingly, Wicaksono’s blog column on Koran Tempo today about Dian is a trigger for him to talk about celebrity’s blog.
Public figure’s blog — again!
The questions or comments are similiar to several times before: their famousness, enormous visitors and traffic, numerous comments. At the end, people (especially bloggers) correlate this phenomenon to questionable statement such as popularity vs. usefulness. What is your real intention by blogging? Popularity — become a “well known”, or a passionate to share with other people?
To some people those are not easy questions — at least: need some considerations to answer.
But please, do not trap by popularity; though it is very nice digging and evaluating our own site’s statistics. Keep them as a toy, a catalyst to make us better and still on the track to always blog.
There are many ways to keep your blog busy enough visited by visitors: one of them is loving your own blog by posting your own, original, ideas regularly.
You are not Dian as well she is not you! :)
And — take my bet — there are a lot of people out there who’s interested for your opinions.
