Yuniman Farid from Deutsche Welle, Indonesische Redaktion, Germany’s international broadcaster, had sent me an email about The BOBs, International Best of Blogs Award. Deutsche Welle had begun organizing The BOBs since 2004 in seven language and now, among 11 languages, Bahasa Indonesia is included. This is great news for Indonesian bloggers to participate in international event using our own language.
BOBs is free, no commercial aspect, and is sponsored by well-known entities such as O’Reilly. Furthermore, an overview about blog and BOBs is written clearly in Bahasa Indonesia, The BOBs akan Pilih Blog Terbaik dari Indonesia, expressing many experiences in blogosphere. Starting on August 31 2008, BOBs will open for blog registration until September 30. Weblogs, podcasts, and videoblogs are welcome. How about photoblogs? Will it be possible for next event?
In Indonesian blogosphere, I had noticed some of bloggers will participate, hopefully it will help attracting the influence of blogs not only local to Indonesia, but also worldwide and also help Bahasa Indonesia recognized widely.
