The end of radio
IN the middle of riding back home from the office, my friend and I ended up talking about radio. In the old times, at least while I was in junior high, radio is all about music and community. I, once, have this habit: waiting for hours to listen to a rock program from a certain radio. Ya, rock program.
I’m not gettin’ into radio in recent years. But, to my knowledge, music is now just become an ornament. Radios nowadays are full of talking news, or a couple of idiots laughter. And music is only interlude, gap filling. Once again, to my knowledge.
Actually, I can understand this fenomena. Listening music is so easy nowadays. MP3 rules. You can easily buy an affordable MP3 player and get the songs for free. That is why, maybe, radios need to be broadened their services. Breaking news, musical or nonmusical talkshow, quiz, practical jokes, etc.
