Corrections policy

We make every effort to be accurate, but mistakes can happen. When they do, we correct them quickly and openly.

How to report a mistake

Write to us via our contact page with the link to the article and a description of the error, ideally with a source.

Factual errors (a wrong figure, date, name or quote) are corrected in the article, and a dated note at the end of the article explains what was changed.
Minor changes (typos, wording) are corrected without a note.
Updates with new information are shown with an “Updated” date at the top of the article.

We aim to review every report within 48 hours.
